Travel Policy
- This policy applies to all team / club officials and parents
- Any child transported to a match or training session will only be taken if the vehicle has sufficient number of seat belts to enable all children have an individual seat belt
- In the event that it is not possible for a sufficient number of players to be safely transported to a match then that game shall be forfeited and any league fine due paid as the safety of the children is paramount.
- It is the responsibility of any driver whether a club official or parents to ensure that all team members are safely strapped in prior to commencement of the journey
- Any child who refuses to wear a seat belt shall not be allowed to travel and their parent contacted to collect them
- If a parent wishes another parent to transport their child to matches or training the arrangements must be discussed and agreed between the parents and the club official informed
- The parent who has agreed to transport the child must maintain control of the child until the coach is present and takes control of the session or match preparation
- On completion of the match or training session the person transporting the child must again take control of the child and follow the previously agreed arrangements for dropping the child off.
- In the event of regular transportation of a child agreed between parents it is recommended that the person undertaking the transportation of the child completes a FA CRB form which incurs a cost of £12
- In the event that the club officials are requesting parents to transport players on a regular basis the cost for the CRB form will be borne by the football club
- The club child protection officer will advise and help any parent complete the form.
